Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has warned that Russian forces are planning a mass attack on Ukraine and called on citizens to be especially careful.
“Tonight and in the coming hours, it is very important to pay attention to air traffic alerts,” Zelensky said in his evening address. “The Russians are preparing for a massive attack. Please take care of yourself,” he added.
Earlier, the Ukrainian governor of Zaporizhia, Ivan Fedorov, reported via Telegram that Russian forces had hit the Zaporizhia city with guided bombs, killing four people and injuring six others.
Fedorov reported nine hits in the city and expressed concern that people may be trapped in the rubble of buildings.
Ukrainian strike in Tyumen
Zelensky also said that Ukrainian drones had struck an oil refinery in the Tyumen region of western Siberia. The Ukrainian president thanked the special operations units of the Ukrainian army that “reached the Tyumen region”, a distance of more than 2,000 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.
The target “was again an oil refinery (…) It is effective”, he added.
The governor of Tyumen, however, claimed that Russian air defenses repelled the attack on the refinery.
