Soledad Núñez, candidate for the mayor of Asunción for the opposition alliance, brought together leaders of the groups that support her with deputies from the CDU of Thuringia, Germany, a region where it is governed by a coalition of minorities that managed to isolate and defeat the extreme right. Fernando Camacho, from the PEN, also reappeared.
The meeting took place on Thursday night between representatives of the United for Asunción table, an opposition alliance that supports the candidacy for the mayor of Asunción. Soledad Nunez.
The meeting was held at the Command Post of the Dear Homeland Partywithin the framework of a day of work and coordination of the Núñez campaign.
The meeting was attended by Senator Eduardo Nakayama; the governor of Central Ricardo Estigarribia (PLRA, New Liberalism); the president of the Patria Querida Party (PPQ), Stephan Rasmussen; the deputy Rocio Vallejo (PPQ); as well as party authorities and leaders of the space.

They united against the extreme right
According to DW, what happened in Thuringia was a historic event, since the German Christian Democrats had established not to cooperate with the Left party. During the meeting, campaign guidelines were shared, the city’s main challenges were analyzed and the commitment to continue building a solid alternative for Asunción, based on joint work and coordination between different political sectors, was reaffirmed.
However, the political forces that supported the former candidate did not participate in this meeting. Johanna Ortega (PPS, Yo Creo, PPC and others), and that now they promised to support Soledad Núñez.
