The Icelandic men’s national handball team will face Egypt in two friendly matches in Cairo in the middle of May. Snorri Steinn Guðjónsson talked about the project with mbl.is. today.
“The last men arrive on Monday and there’s a game on Friday. We’ll be there all week. It’s just a gymnasium like any other and the conditions should be fine.
We are going to play a very good team and it will be challenging. We see what men are made of when they play games like this,” he said.
Snorri is not worried about the journey to Egypt.
“We’re going to a new continent, but we’re not going to the moon. Otherwise, I don’t think much about the situation now, I’m more worried about the team I chose and the opponent.
These are just handball games and it can be seen in the selection that I am trying to move forward,” he said.
