Although we have not yet entered the very heart of summer according to the calendar, the temperatures of the Adriatic Sea are enough for some to tempt them to the beaches, while others will not step into the sea until the temperature rises to at least 25 degrees Celsius.
Today’s values, it seems to us, are a bit braver – it’s warmest on the islands, while the coast lags behind only slightly.
According to DHMZ data, Komiža offers the most pleasant refreshment today, where the measured sea temperature was 16.5 °C. Right next to the Visko-Komi water area is the town of Hvar with a temperature of around 17 °C, which makes it the current day record holder in the Central Dalmatian area.
Even in the town under Marjan, the situation is not significantly different. Today, Split records a sea temperature of 16 °C, which is quite enough for the bravest who decided to open the swimming season at Bačvice or Kašjuni.
In addition to the announced sunny period that awaits us in the coming days, a further gradual increase in sea temperature is also expected.
