Sulinermik Inuussutissarsiuteqartut Kattuffiat, SIK, together with its local branches, will mark the union’s 70th anniversary in Ilulissat on Wednesday 1 July in connection with their status meeting.
SIK’s Representative Office will hold a meeting in Ilulissat and in that connection celebrate the organization’s 70th anniversary.
The procession with banners goes from the Sermermiut cultural center in Ilulissat to the football pitch on Wednesday 1 July at 14:00.
There will be speeches, music and entertainment at the stadium.

SIK’s Representative Office
The meeting of SIK’s Representative Office, which is held between the union’s general meetings and in which the departments participate, will be held on Tuesday 30 June in Ilulissat.
At the board of representatives meeting, there will be discussions based on the report that the main board has sent out to the delegates, and based on proposals from the workers’ associations. And there will be information on SIK’s finances based on the accounts for 2025.
According to the program for the meeting, there will be participation from the Main Organization of the Trade Unions in Denmark (FH). The organisation’s deputy chairman Nanna Højlund will give a short speech. In addition, there will be a greeting per video by Cathy Feingold. She is director of the American main organization for a number of trade unions in industry, the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO), writes SIK.
