- A news scout is annoyed by open sex scenes in Aquabasilea.
- He reports on group sex and sexual acts in the wellness area.
- His complaints to the staff were ignored. The man no longer wants to visit the bathroom.
At the Aquabasilea in Pratteln BL there is group sex instead of a wellness program, says a news scout the Basel region. The 30-year-old reports on a candid sex scene in the indoor swimming pool.
“It’s really bad in the evenings and on weekends,” says the man, who had a subscription to fitness in the bathroom for years.
«I’m sorry to say that I in the wellness area “I’ve already experienced everything,” said the man. “Once I was suddenly surrounded by people outside who were having sex.” He also describes how a woman made herself “available” in the steam bath and the men pounced on her “like hungry lions”.
Oral sex in the steam room
Because of these experiences, he did not renew the subscription. “On Monday I wanted to give it another chance. For me, the fitness is very practical in terms of location,” he says to 20 Minutes.
But the visit turned into a horror experience. First he was hit on by an ancient man. He then met this man again while taking a steam bath and saw him having oral sex with someone else. They ignored a “stop”.
His immediate complaint was not taken seriously by the staff. He has already written three complaint emails on the subject and has never received a response. For him it is clear: there will be no more visits to the Aquabasilea.
“I am very tolerant”
The news scout makes it clear that he is not a prude. «I’m very tolerant, my God, if someone does something, that’s just how it is. What really annoys me is when I’m surrounded by four or five people, all of them perform sexual acts.»
He refers to special events such as the “XXL Sauna Night,” which is advertised as “exclusive nude swimming.” The marketing was deliberately aimed at guests who were looking for a sexual adventure. “That doesn’t belong in a premium sauna area,” he says firmly.
Two bans from the house for sexual acts
Aquabasilea managing director Michael Atassi comments on the allegations. “As in every public leisure pool of this size, it occasionally happens that guests do not comply with the house rules,” he said when asked by 20 Minutes. The bathroom staff was instructed to “proactively prevent” sexual acts. And further: “We do not tolerate any sexual acts in our bathroom – neither indoors nor outdoors. This is explicitly anchored in our house rules.”
According to Atassi, anyone who violates the rules will be punished with a ban from the premises. According to the managing director, two bans were only issued on Monday because of sexual acts.
But what does Atassi say about the “XXL sauna night” accusation? “We firmly reject the suggestion that we would specifically target or attract a clientele that is looking for sexual contact in the bathroom area.” All events are designed to be experience-oriented. Supervisory staff are also increasingly present at evening events to ensure compliance with the house rules.
