    — The National Museum of Tajikistan hosts the exhibition “Forty Keys” by the country’s honored artist Anvarsho Saifudinov. It is dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the independence of Tajikistan and the 50th anniversary of the artist’s teaching activity. 172 unique works will be presented – the result of many years of work by the painter and his students. This exhibition is not only the result of half a century of teaching activity of the artist, but also a reflection of the development of modern Tajik art over the years of independence. The exhibition will run until May 4, 2026.

    DAY IN THE HISTORY OF TAJIKISTAN – APRIL 25

    1992 – Spontaneous rallies broke out in the center of Dushanbe on Ozodi and Shakhidon squares.

    1996 – The first private weekly “Charkhi Gardun” was published.

    2005 – The Supreme Court sentenced former Minister of Internal Affairs Yakub Salimov to 15 years in prison.

    2020 – The Republican Coronavirus Prevention Headquarters decided to temporarily suspend the export of grains, legumes, flour, wheat, rice, eggs, potatoes and meat.

    2022 – The US Embassy announced the start of processing immigrant visas in Dushanbe.

    2024 – The fourth group of citizens of the republic from Syria was returned to Tajikistan on a special flight – 13 families (47 people: 15 women, 17 girls and 15 boys).

    PERSONALITY

    1900 – The statesman Abdurakhim Khodzhibaev was born.

    1917 – People’s Artist of the USSR Tukhfa Fazylova was born.

    Tukhfa Fazylova is a legendary Tajik actress and singer, whose name has become a symbol of the golden era of national art. Born in Kanibadam, she began her journey in amateur circles, but soon conquered the largest stages: from the Uzbek Opera and Ballet Theater to the Tajik State Academic Drama Theater named after Lahuti. Possessing a unique lyric soprano, she stood at the origins of Tajik opera.

    Fazylova, she became the first Tajik performer of the role of Tatyana in the opera “Eugene Onegin” and shone in the role of Gulizor (“The Rebellion of Vose”). As a profound dramatic actress of the Lahuti Theater, she created the textbook images of Gulnor in the play “Dokhunda” and Kruchinina in the drama “Guilty Without Guilt.”

    In cinema, she is remembered for her bright works in the films “Zumrad”, “Escape from Darkness” and “Today and Always”. Today, the music and drama theater in Kanibadam bears her name, and the images she created remain the standard of excellence for new generations of artists.

    Tukhfa Fazylova died in February 1985. The artist’s grave is located at the Luchob cemetery in Dushanbe.

    1960 – The Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan Ramazon Hamro Rakhimzoda was born.

    1966 – Journalist, editor of the newspaper “USSR” Sayyofi Mizrob was born.

    2014 – People’s Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan, conductor Beron Merobov, has died.

    2022 – The son of the first President of Tajikistan, Rakhmon Nabiyev, died in Khujand at the age of 53. – Rustam. He was buried next to his father in the Yova jamoat.

    SIGNIFICANT EVENTS OF APRIL 25

    Today – World Malaria Day. It was established by the World Health Organization at its 60th session in May 2007.

    Malaria – a group of infectious diseases transmitted to humans through the bites of one type of mosquito. The disease is usually accompanied by fever, chills, and an increase in the size of the liver and spleen.

    Every year, more than 200 million people become infected with malaria, and approximately half a million of them die.

    An unusual holiday is celebrated on April 25 – International DNA Day – in recognition of the importance of genetics and the scientific advances made in this field. This date was chosen in memory of the fact that on April 25, 1953, in the journal Nature, scientists James Watson and Francis Crick, together with Maurice Wilkins and Rosalind Franklin, published the results of a study of the structure of the DNA molecule.

    DNA – it is deoxyribonucleic acid. It is in DNA that our genetic information is stored, and this test is one of the most popular for establishing family relationships.

    Thanks to the discovery of DNA, the code of heredity was revealed, genetic risk was identified, the formation of programmed properties of the body began, heredity was being improved, and genetic engineering technologies were being created.

    Today is celebrated International Delegate Day. It is celebrated annually on April 25 in memory of the event that occurred on this day in 1945.

    On that day, when there were still more than 4 months before the end of World War II, an international conference opened in San Francisco, which was attended by representatives of more than 50 countries with the aim of developing principles for preventing wars, finding solutions to restore peace through joint efforts and building dialogue between states and nations.

    The main outcome of the conference was the establishment of the United Nations and the development of its Charter. The memorable date was first celebrated on April 25, 2020, on the 75th anniversary of the opening of the conference in San Francisco.

    The name of the memorial date is intended to emphasize the important role of delegates of UN representative countries in resolving global issues of the modern world: maintaining security and preventing wars and armed conflicts, peacefully resolving them in case of escalation, resolving issues of environmental safety, humanitarian nature, overcoming the consequences of economic and social crises and problems, contributing to the achievement of sustainable development goals.

    Today Daughter’s Day. Increasingly, search engines are faced with the question of when this day is celebrated. Some sites claim that the date for celebrating Daughter’s Day is April 25th.

    When did it arise and by whom was it founded? – this question is also shrouded in mystery, but the very fact that Daughter’s Day is being talked about and asked about indicates that such a day is needed.

    The main task of organizing Daughter’s Day – attracting the attention of the state and society to the problems of teenage girls, providing them with assistance in the process of socialization through familiarization with various professions, psychological and legal assistance in overcoming age-related as well as personal problems.

    And April 25th is celebrated World Penguin Day. There are 18 living species of penguins in the family.

    The biggest of them – This is an emperor penguin, its height can reach 120 cm, and its weight – more than 40 kg. The smallest representative of the species is the little penguin, which is no higher than the knee of an adult, and its weight does not exceed 2.5 kg.

    For the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region – Partly cloudy, light rain in the west of GBAO, light precipitation (rain, snow) in the east of GBAO. East wind 5-10 m/s. Temperature: in the west of GBAO at night 7-120 warm, sometimes up to 13-150 warm, daytime 15-200 warm, in some places up to 23-250 heat, in the east of GBAO at night -3+20daytime 6-110 heat.

    By districts of republican subordination – Partly cloudy, no precipitation, only light rain in some mountainous areas at night, thunderstorm possible. East wind 5-10 m/s. Temperature: in the valleys at night 11-160 warm, daytime 23-280 warm, in the mountains at night 6-110 warm, daytime 20-250 heat.

    Around the city of Dushanbe – Partly cloudy, no precipitation. East wind 5-10 m/s. Temperature: at night 14-160 warm, daytime 26-280 heat.
