Anna Wangenheim has asked for an explanation from the health management on allegations that cleaning staff have been fired and are to be replaced by foreign workers.
Currently abounding stories on social media about cleaning staff at Queen Ingrid’s Hospital in Nuuk who have been dismissed and, according to them, will be replaced by foreign labour.
Among other things, the chairman of Siumut, Aleqa Hammond, has commented on the debate in a video on Facebook, where she says that it is alarming if it is true.
Also naalakkersuisoq for health and persons with disabilities, Anna Wangenheim (D), is now interfering in the debate.
She writes on Facebook that she has not received any official inquiries about the matter, but has not overlooked the debate either.
– Let me first emphasize that, on behalf of Naalakkersuisut, we do not want the local workers to be passive spectators to the development. It is therefore not our policy to exclude those who can work, but on the contrary to involve them in the responsibility that lies in contributing to development, writes Anna Wangenheim.
Anna Wangenheim expects clarity
Naalakkersuisoq for health continues to write that she has asked the management (at Dronning Ingrid’s Hospital, ed.) to explain what these stories are about.
– I have no knowledge of, heard of or been involved in hiring and firing like naalakkersuisoq, so I try to find out what the reality is when I see the debate on Facebook. I expect to get clarity.
– And of course I expect and demand that the procedure is followed, writes Anna Wangenheim.
She also writes that she understands the desire for better hygiene standards in the healthcare system.
Sermitsiaq has tried to get a comment from Anna Wangeheim. She cannot comment on the case until she has received the statement from the health service. She refers to the health service.
