CHILDREN’S DAY 2026
Children’s Day is marked this year in several places along the coast with activities and entertainment for children and families. Below you can see what is on the program in the individual cities.
On the occasion of on children’s day, various events are held in Uummannaq, Sisimiut, Qaqortoq and Narsaq.
Activities in Uummannaq
In Uummannaq, the program offers, among other things, the Color Run, speeches in the Uummannaq Hall from 3 p.m., as well as face painting, drawing, jumping activities and trampoline. This is what Avannaata Kommunia writes on Facebook.
Later in the day, the music group Jonas Meeqqallu gives a concert for the children in the multi-hall from 18:00 to 20:00.
Events in Sisimiut
In Sisimiut, children and families can look forward to music, barbecue, jumping activities, face painting and various games from 17:00 to 19:00. This is stated by Qeqqata Kommunia on Facebook.
Program in Qaqortoq
In Qaqortoq, the Children’s Garden opens at 1 p.m. at House B5. Kommune Kujalleq reports this on Facebook.
The celebration has already been held in Narsaq
In Narsaq, Children’s Day was celebrated at the weekend. On Sunday, the program offered, among other things, concerts with Juuna & Co and Uju & Co.
In addition, the children could meet Donald Duck and Donald Duck, have their faces painted and enjoy layer cake, fruit and water, according to Kommune Kujalleq.
