Prime Minister Edi Rama, in the context of his successive responses and in a state of panic after the Albanian-wide protests demanding his removal, has shared on Facebook a poem by Dritëro Agolli, “My opponents”.
A work that deals with the confrontation with criticism and opposition, accompanying it with the words: “GOOD MORNING and with this beautiful current poem of Dritëroi, I wish you a good week.”, writes Rama attached to the published photo.

The Prime Minister seems to be copying the style of former Foreign Minister Elisa Sipropali in communicating with Albanians through poetry. The first was Spiropali who, in a post dated June 23, published Anna Ahmatova’s verses, as a message of reaction to the attacks that were being directed at her, after the publicly expressed attitudes against Edi Rama.
Spiropal’s post
Good morning☀️
When you are distracted and confused by lightning sheets, banal attacks, digital and operational monitoring, algorithmic control, hallucinatory conspiracies, promiscuous language, read this masterpiece of Anna Akhmatova, who was born today, in 1889.
So many stones were thrown at me
As of today, none of them chills me,
With them a graceful tower was built,
Higher than any tower she stands.
I thank its builders,
It’s just that they built it in a hurry.
From her, I enjoy the dawn faster
And watch the sun longer in the west.
And at my window day by day,
The sea breeze is blowing, it’s a breeze.
In my hand the dove comes pecking,
And if I can’t write anything anymore,
A divine light-winged day,
I’m waiting for the Muse to come, to write it myself.
