Q Mobility announced the launch of a new smart parking experience in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, which allows automatic payment of parking fees through the user’s wallet in the “Darb” application, as part of a qualitative step aimed at developing the parking experience and providing digital mobility solutions that are easier, more efficient, and more relevant to users’ daily needs.
The company stated in a statement that the new service relies on an advanced technical system supported by artificial intelligence and automatic recognition techniques for vehicle plates, and automatically starts the parking period when entering it, then calculates the fees and deducts them directly from the “Darb” wallet when leaving the vehicle, without the need to send text messages, use payment devices, scan QR codes, or take any manual actions, thus providing a smart, integrated and effortless experience for users.
Q Mobility stressed to users the importance of having sufficient balance in the “Darb” electronic wallet before using the service, to ensure that they benefit from the automatic payment experience smoothly and avoid violations.
She indicated that this step comes as part of its efforts to expand the scope of smart parking solutions in Abu Dhabi during the next stage, through the gradual activation of the service in various sectors of the city and a number of private parking locations, which supports the shift towards more efficient and smooth digital services, and enhances the integration of the smart transportation system in the emirate.
In its first phase, the service will be available in a number of vital locations in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, including ground floor parking and a number of private parking lots, with a plan to gradually expand to include additional locations throughout the emirate during the coming period.
