Igor Rajev names a facility in Ukraine that baffles war analysts

“If such Russian attacks start, the Ukrainians simply have to “wipe out” this area of Belarus,” emphasized Saeima deputy (non-partisan), Latvian army reserve colonel Igors Rajevs in the TV24 program “About the war in Ukraine with Igor Rajev”, speaking about an important NATO aid delivery route.

“There is one route in Ukraine, M06, where no military analyst understands why it is not the target of a military attack. The same route as the Russians goes to Crimea, the Ukrainians have from Rzeszow in Poland, where the main base from which supplies from NATO countries are located. It is concentrated there and then goes on to Kyiv or other bases, and then is redistributed to all the other places. It is a target on the surface that should be struck,” explained I. Rajev.

The reserve colonel highlighted a problem that has arisen for the Russian army – it is the “Starlink” internet, which does not allow accurate strikes on targets, because they do not have the necessary coverage to accurately guide the drone to a specific target. Here you don’t need to hit a factory or a power plant, here you need to look for one moving target, for example a car, where then one drone hits one car. Russians cannot do it, concluded I. Rajevs.

“But the Russians have now created a sensor-enhanced zone Belarus at the border. Drones fly from there in Ukraine, hitting Lviv, Lutsk, Kovely and other places, because the signal coming from the border of Belarus allows covering this territory. And now, if they theoretically choose this road as a target, this signal should be enough for them, because the distance to the road from the Belarusian border, depending on the place, is 120-200 km. This would allow both drones to fly there and the signal to be maintained,” estimated I. Rajevs.

“Although it would be safest to attack from the territory of Belarus, here is Lukashenko (Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko) who will not allow such things,” I. Rajev allowed such a possibility, although there is always a discussion about Belarus’ involvement in the war. He thinks that won’t happen anytime soon.

“Ukrainians can do enough in this case,” says I. Rajev. “The Ukrainians have a character called ‘Madyar’ who leads their drone forces and has already said that the Ukrainians have identified 500 targets on the territory of Belarus, which they are ready to strike if Belarus gets involved in the conflict,” said I. Rajev.

“Ukrainians have the ability to strike the Belarusian zone and disable the operation of repeaters, thus preventing Russian drones from accurately attacking the targets on this road,” declared I. Rajev. He pointed out another problem – then it would be the case that Ukraine would attack a sovereign country that is technically not at war with that, which could provoke Belarus to get involved in the war.

On the other hand, repeaters are the infrastructure of the Russian army on the territory of Belarus, which could be diplomatically and technically explained and justified. Therefore, if Russian attacks on the road began, the Ukrainians, according to I. Rajev, would simply have to “wipe” this area of Belarus, which would prevent the Russians from hitting their targets.
