PALIKIR, Pohnpei — June 3, 2026 — The Office of the President received a courtesy and farewell call from Her Excellency Jennifer S. Johnson, Ambassador of the United States of America to the Federated States of Micronesia, marking the conclusion of her tenure in the FSM.
The meeting provided an opportunity for both sides to reflect on the strong and enduring partnership between the Federated States of Micronesia and the United States, founded on mutual respect, shared values, and longstanding cooperation.
Both President Simina and Vice President Palik expressed appreciation for the Ambassador’s service and leadership during her tenure, noting the important role she played in strengthening bilateral relations and advancing cooperation between the two nations.
“The Federated States of Micronesia values its close relationship with its partner of choice, the United States, and we are grateful for your dedication and commitment to deepening our partnership,” the President stated. “Your efforts have contributed meaningfully to our shared goals and to the wellbeing of our people, and for that we thank you.”
The Ambassador, in turn, expressed sincere gratitude to the Government and people of the Federated States of Micronesia for their warm hospitality and cooperation throughout her assignment. She reaffirmed the United States’ continued commitment to supporting the FSM and strengthening bilateral engagement in the years ahead.
The farewell meeting concluded with the exchange of best wishes, as both sides reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining strong diplomatic relations and continued collaboration for the benefit of both nations.
