The results are unprecedented. The injection of a drug reduced malignant tumors in more than a third of 102 patients with recurrent or metastatic head and neck cancer (that is, it has already spread to other organs). Typical treatments had stopped responding to these patients and the test of this oncology vaccine proved effective in a significant proportion of people. In 43, the tumor shrank and, of these, there were 15 in which the response was complete – and the cancer disappeared.
