On Tuesday, 2 July, police attempted to pull over a man riding an electric scooter on Rue Jean-Pierre Michels in Esch-sur-Alzette. The man fled the scene but was located by the officers shortly afterwards. Upon inspecting the scooter, the officers discovered that its top speed exceeded the legal limit. The rider voluntarily left the scooter behind, after which a report was filed.
Additionally, police confiscated two driving licenses due to drink driving.
On Wednesday, at around 5.50pm, a driver was reported for swerving on Rue de Noertzange in Bettembourg. The police stopped and checked the man shortly afterwards. A breathalyser test returned a positive result.
That same evening, a vehicle was observed swerving at high speed along the A13 towards Schengen. Officers later determined that the driver was under the influence of alcohol.
