Among the survivors are Peruvian citizens and descendants of Peruvians residing in Venezuela. From La Guaira, one of the most affected towns, Josbel Borrero and Daniela Gomez They told Latina Noticias about the moments they experienced during the earthquake.

For her part, Daniela Gómez, daughter of Peruvian parents and resident for 23 years in La Guaira, indicated that she managed to leave her home along with her mother and brother before the collapse of several structures.
“It’s pure rubble. There’s literally nothing left.”he expressed when describing the state of the city.
Gómez added that numerous people remain missing, including a close friend whose family continues to search for him. Likewise, he indicated that his younger brother lost several schoolmates after the disaster.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Peru reported that the four Peruvian citizens who had initially been reported missing have already been located.
