Panama tried to reorganize, but in the second half came the second blow. At 59′, Arian Reyes scored an own goal when trying to clear the ball, extending the lead for Paraguay.
The Panamanian team had a clear opportunity to get into the game in the 65th minute, when Joseph Choy had a penalty kick, but was unable to achieve it.
However, the reaction came minutes later. At 72′, Choy himself vindicated himself with a powerful left foot shot to the right corner, scoring a goal for Panama and returning hope to the team.
However, Paraguay sealed the match in the 76th minute, again through Osmar Sosa, who scored his double to establish the final 3-1.
In the final minutes, Panama maintained an offensive proposal, generating arrivals and seeking to reduce the difference, although without success in the definition.
After this result, the national team will focus on its next tournament commitments: it will face Bolivia on April 15 and then Argentina on April 17.
In another result, the women’s futsal team lost 4-0 to Argentina.
Tomorrow the women’s team returns to the CAR field against Paraguay, starting at 2:45 pm.
