DAILY REPORT
Police and emergency services dealt with an incident involving the spill of diesel, among other things, on Friday.
Friday afternoon at 15.04 the Greenland Police received a notification regarding environmental legislation.
Warden Jeppe Andsager says that the case involved a large construction machine which had overturned during work at Kangilinnguit – Naval Station Grønnedal.
The police have no reports of injuries in connection with the accident, but when the machine overturned, diesel and oil were released.
The police have informed the Department for the Environment, Nature, Energy and Research about the matter, and the emergency services have been in the process of setting up a roadblock and taking other measures to soak up the pollution.
In addition to the environmental incident, the duty manager reports a very quiet day.
