Road work in Ártúnsbrekku continues tonight and into the night.
As mentioned earlier this week, Vegagerðin is working on paving the middle lane of the Ártún slope to the east this week. The announcement by the Road Administration says that the paving should last from 19:00 tonight until 6:00 in the morning.
Morgunblaðið has previously discussed the poor condition of the lane.

There are more projects this week
The Road Administration has also authorized more works this week if the weather permits.
Asphalting will be done on Vesturlandsveð in the west direction at Laxalón from 19:00 until 4:00 on the night of June 19.
There will also be paving in Ártúnsbrekka westbound on the N1 from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. on June 19. It is planned to mill on Reykjanesbraut in a southerly direction from Kaplakrika from 20:00 until 04:00 on the same day.
