Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attended the groundbreaking ceremony of a new sports school named after Greco-Roman wrestlers Malkhas and Roman Amoyan in Alagyaz community of Aragatsotn region.
The sports school is being built under the coordination of the Urban Development Committee. After the presentation of the project, Prime Minister Pashinyan and Malkhas and Roman Amoyan signed a message addressed to the generations, which was placed on the grounds of the sports school.
The Prime Minister congratulated those present on the occasion of the establishment of the sports school and expressed hope that it will be put into operation within the specified period. Addressing Malkhas and Roman Amoyan, Nikol Pashinyan noted that all this is the Republic of Armenia’s tribute to their sports achievements and services.
The building consists of two parts: a hall with seats for about 100 spectators and a two-story service area. On the first floor there will be an entrance, dressing rooms, swimming pool, sauna, doctor’s and trainer’s rooms, bathrooms, storage. On the second floor, a hall for physical training and sports equipment and administrative rooms are planned. The sports school will have a basement where table tennis training can be held. The structure will have ramps and an elevator for the accessible movement of people with disabilities. The unfinished structure of the kindergarten in the area will be dismantled. In addition to the sports school building, a sewage treatment plant and a car parking lot will be located.
