New International Tennis Federation Development Officer for the Caribbean Evan Heyliger, has given the 13 Vincentian coaches who were part of a three- day Play Tennis course, the stamp of approval of their readiness to instruct beginners.
This after the Bermudan assessed their temperament, aptitude and coaching skill levels, between April 12 to 14, 2026 at the National Tennis Villa.
Accordingly, at the closing ceremony on April 14, Heyliger noted that the 13 are highly recommended.
“If a parent walks up to me and ask to recommend someone to teach their kid Tennis, I will recommend you all,” he said with confidence.
Heyliger was referring to the participants of the course that comprised Kentasha Bullock, Afi Lucas, Afe Lucas, Angeleah Providence, Tayon Burgin, Nellysse Mc Lean, Perezideh Griffith, Dr Preye Griffith, Sebastian Cyrus, O’ Neil Gould, Antoniya Haynes, Floricia Pompey and Garcia Leigertwood.
Heyliger reported that the coaches worked very hard during the course and are fit to impart new knowledge.
He impressed on the St Vincent and the Grenadines Tennis Association to make full use of the expertise as they build the sport from the ground up.
Heyliger was assisted by Vincentian coach, Arnel Horne.
