The new hotel on the northern shore of Lake Balaton represents a novel hotel concept that focuses on the individual needs of guests and a customizable experience, while keeping versatility in mind. The hotel emphasizes the connection between city life and the Balaton region, in keeping with the “Lifestyle & View” concept, reads the hotel’s website. A total of 102 rooms and suites await guests, ranging in size from 27 to 70 square meters.
The offerings include both rooms with a more dynamic atmosphere, open to the city’s energy, as well as suites designed for panoramic views and offering a retreat, along with more spacious, even interconnecting options that are ideal for families or guests staying longer.
The room layout differs not only in size and location:
Guests can choose at the time of booking whether their stay should focus on tranquility, shared experiences, or the vibrant city life.
The hotel welcomes its guests with several dining venues and experience areas of varying character. The Amiral Restaurant serves as the culinary hub, offering dining experiences in the morning and evening, while the Compass Bar is a place for socializing. The Horizont Rooftop & Pool Bar, open in the summer, offers guests a panoramic view and the experience of being close to the water.
In the spacious, open areas of the Horizont Wellness & Spa, the saunas, pools, relaxation zones, and quiet massage rooms, together with the view of Lake Balaton, offer the opportunity to recharge.
Separate from the hotel but located in its immediate vicinity, the Italian-inspired Felicita Cucina, the Bier Garten—operated as a classic German beer hall—and the Porto Brunch & Bar, evoking a seaside lifestyle, will open shortly.
Behind the Birgés Hotel stands a Hungarian family-owned business, a fact deliberately reflected in the choice of name.
The brand’s goal is to embody a new-generation concept of “affordable luxury” on the shores of Lake Balaton.
