Monaco Legend Group has concluded its April 2026 Exclusive Timepieces auction in Monte-Carlo with total sales of €26.47 million and an exceptional 98.3% sell-through rate, underlining continued strength at the top end of the watch market…
Held on April 25 and 26 at the Hôtel Méridien Beach Plaza, the sale combined rare vintage references, important complications and exceptional modern pieces. Participation was truly international, with strong bidding from Europe, the United States, the Middle East and Asia, both in the room and online.
Beyond the headline figures, the results highlighted a clear and consistent collecting direction. Watches defined by rarity, originality and fresh-to-market provenance achieved the strongest performances, confirming a shift towards increasingly focused and informed buying.
Co-Chairman Davide Parmegiani noted that collectors are prioritising pieces with historical and aesthetic relevance, while Deputy Chairman Corrado Mattarelli emphasised the growing depth of the market across multiple categories. Claude Cohen, Co-Chairman, added that the results reflect long-standing trust in the group’s curation and expertise.
Leading the sale was a Patek Philippe reference 3448 “Padellone,” which achieved €2,106,000, followed by a platinum Rolex Daytona reference 16516 at €1,882,800 and a platinum Rolex “Ovettone” reference 6304 at €1,196,000. Other standout results included a Rolex “John Player Special” Daytona and a Cartier Tank à Guichets in platinum.
