Lunch in the industrial area – that didn’t sound very tempting until now. That should change: The economic commission of the municipality of Balzers is launching a pilot project called “Treffpunkt Neugrüt” that will bring variety to the lunch break of employees in Neugrüt from Monday, April 27th.
There is a wooden pavilion in the gravel parking lot next to Frickauto AG, which is served by a rotating food truck every working day. The idea behind it is simple: If you don’t want to drive far at lunchtime, you should still eat well – and be able to meet colleagues at the same time.
A different pleasure every day
The offer changes weekly. On Mondays, Dallas Grill serves Greek specialties, and on Tuesdays, Rheintal Catering brings local cuisine to the table. On Wednesdays, Nana’s Streetfood & Catering surprises with its diverse offering, and on Thursdays and Fridays, Jasmin’s Genusswagen serves Thai cuisine. It is open from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Aperitif to start
Before things officially start, those involved in the project invited people to a launch aperitif on Thursday, April 23rd. Those interested were able to get to know the place and get a first impression of what is on offer.
The project will initially run until July 1, 2026. If it is well received, the municipality will consider continuing it.
