Various vicissitudes during the execution and then, in recent days, the decision of third instance judge. Then last April 21st the judge of the executions Vico Valentiniissued the executive decree – which should be the last act of the Mazzini account, against those who had appealed to have the confiscations of the money confirmed to be of illicit origin revoked. In the criminal court, the matter should be closed with this forfeiture of sums, because as far as we know, the civil actions brought by the State Attorney’s Office for the damage resulting from the crime would still be pending. Criminal proceeding no. 306/2010 and reunited, therefore sees the definitive confiscation of assets and sums deemed to be the result of crime. The total amount of liquid sums and value quotas specifically quantified in the decree amounts to €2,962,622.59to which real estate and company shareholdings are added.
The details of the confiscated sums are borne by Fiorenzo Stolfi: the largest amount, equal to €1,958,168.76; Claudio Podeschi: liquidity in total €419,790.60; Gian Marco Marcucci: sums up to the amount of €248,729.18; Pier Marino Mularoni: between liquidity (€81,611.25) and the share-value of a property in Bologna (€152,222.8), the total affected is €233,834.05in addition to the 25% share of Ibis Immobiliare and insurance policies; Pier Marino Menicucci: confiscated €102,100.00 in liquidity, as well as a property located in Urbino.
These latest confiscations are added to the other amounts already confiscated from the other defendants who did not appeal and which therefore became enforceable at the time.
The execution therefore confirms how the accusatory system of the investigators (including Commissioners Buriani, Morsiani and Volpinari) which then went through the two levels of judgment – a procedure that an instrumental narrative would like to put on the index – was founded, also overcoming the scrutiny of the appeals in third instance and the enforcement phase.
