A man who is said to have grabbed/stolen money from a bingo event and later brandished a cutlass when approached by a police officer was shot, and later died in hospital.
The 52-year-old Yambou labourer, carrying the name of famous singer Michael Jackson, died at the Levi Latham Health Centre last Wednesday August 5,2026 minutes after he was shot by a police officer who had approached him to retrieve the money he had stolen from the bingo event at a shop in Mesopotamia.
Reports are that Jackson was at the bingo event, stole the money and left. The police officer, who eventually shot Jackson, was at the same event and was told what happened. He left in a vehicle and met Jackson sometime after 11 p.m. in the vicinity of the Memorial Funeral Home.
