An 84 year old man is said to be in Stuttgart have sexually abused girls and boys in several hundred cases. After an intensive search, the police were able to arrest the man on Tuesday. The case got rolling at the end of February: The parents of a ten-year-old girl reported to the police about a sexual assault on their daughter in the brine pool in Bad Cannstatt. The police then initiated a call for witnesses.
Numerous witnesses then came forward who reported similar incidents. “We assume there are few victims, but multiple attacks. There could be several hundred cases of sexual assault,” a spokeswoman for the Stuttgart police headquarters told the FAZ
According to the police, there were many indications of similar cases after the call for witnesses. “There were apparently parents who had made similar observations,” said the spokeswoman. That made the investigation work a lot easier.

The perpetrator is said to be a German citizen. The police did not provide any further information about the man’s previous convictions or biography. Apparently he visited the brine pool in Stuttgart’s Bad Cannstatt district more often to look for his underage victims there. He is said to have lured his victims away from the supervisors by playing ball games.
The brine pool in Cannstatt is located in the spa gardens and, along with the Berg and Leuze mineral pools, is one of the most popular swimming pools in the Baden-Württemberg state capital, especially frequented by families.
The investigators have indications that the man also committed some sexual assaults on minors in his family environment. Prosecutors are expected to file charges in the next few months.

A 59-year-old man from Karlsruhe is said to have produced child pornographic material in four cases using an AI image generation program.
