Today, Monday, November 2, at the Ministry’s headquarters, in the presence of the President of the Supreme Council for the Arabic Language, Saleh Belaid, the Minister of Pharmaceutical Industry, Wassim Kouidari, supervised the ceremony of handing over certificates of encouragement to members of the joint committee that prepared the first Algerian dictionary specialized in pharmaceutical industry terminology in the three languages: Arabic, English, and French.
Qwaidry praised the scientific and professional efforts made by members of the joint work team between the Supreme Council of the Arabic Language and the Ministry of Pharmaceutical Industry, which culminated in the preparation of this specialized dictionary, which includes more than 5,600 pharmaceutical terms in the three languages, and this after a year of research, auditing and scrutiny, with the contribution of an elite group of experts and frameworks from various specialties.
Qwaidari stressed that this achievement constitutes a qualitative addition to the National Scientific Library and a scientific and technical reference that aims to unify pharmaceutical terminology and control its concepts, thus contributing to supporting academic training, enriching scientific research, and enhancing the presence of the Arabic language in the pharmaceutical field, while ensuring openness to both languages, English and French.
The Minister announced that its digital copy would be made available to those interested through the websites of the Ministry and the Supreme Council for the Arabic Language, in addition to distributing copies of it to a number of universities, allowing students, researchers, and professionals to refer to it and benefit from its content in their academic and research paths and professional practices.
