SAN MARINO – From the humanitarian emergency in Gaza to long-distance adoptions in Kenya, up to the support for people affected by neurodegenerative diseases in San Marino. This year too, the CSdL Labor Services Institute has allocated resources to international and internal solidarity initiatives.
ISAL thanks those who have chosen to allocate three per thousand of their tax returns to the Institute, helping to finance the projects supported annually.
On the international front, the humanitarian intervention in favor of the population of Gaza has been confirmed and distance adoptions will continue at the Social Center in Kivuli, Kenya, managed by the Amani Association.
In San Marino, however, ISAL has allocated a contribution to ASSPIC, the San Marino Association for the Support of Cerebral Aging Pathologies, founded in 2017 with the aim of improving the quality of life of people affected by neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer’s, and their families.
The association supports the clinical activity of the Neurology department of the State Hospital and promotes initiatives including cognitive stimulation groups for patients and psychological support courses also aimed at family members.
The activities of the ASSPIC were illustrated to the ISAL Board of Directors by the president Arolda Ranocchiniwhich highlighted the importance of support both for the people assisted and for the family members involved in the daily management of particularly complex pathologies.
Finally, ISAL-CSdL reiterates the value of solidarity towards the most fragile people as one of the principles underlying its activity.
