The head of the Greater Irbid Municipality Committee, Imad Al-Azzam, said that it was agreed with the company implementing the Al-Mughayir sewerage project to completely pave the damaged streets instead of partially paving the excavation sites.
Al-Azzam stated that the municipality will undertake the asphalt of 10,000 square meters at a value of 60,000 dinars, in exchange for the company’s commitment to include the entire width of the streets that witnessed excavation work within the tender.
Al-Azzam explained that this understanding aims to prevent the deterioration of the condition of roads in the future, as only treating pothole sites leads to weak infrastructure and the appearance of damages that require rehabilitation again. He stressed that comprehensive asphalt ensures the sustainability of the project and protects the streets from deterioration, providing high-quality infrastructure that effectively serves the people of the region.
He pointed out that the agreement reflects the municipality’s keenness to raise the level of services provided and improve the reality of roads in various regions. Al-Azzam stressed that taking these technical measures ensures the accuracy of implementation and the continued efficiency of the streets for long periods, which reflects positively on the flow of traffic and the safety of citizens in the town of Al-Mughair.
