In Moldova this year, a record number of graduates passed 10th bachelor’s degree exams. The Ministry of Education reported that 85 graduates received the maximum average score. In addition, during the current examination session, not a single candidate was suspended for cheating. The department also noted that, despite complaints from some graduates about the mathematics exam, the percentage of those successfully passing this subject increased from 66% to 69%.
According to the ministry, this year 85 graduates received an average score of 10. In 2025 there were 73 such graduates, and in 2024 – 47. Graduates with the highest score studied in Balti, Cahul, Chisinau, Drochia, Hincesti, Orhei, Singerei, Soroca, Straseni and Ungheni.
The overall undergraduate pass rate increased from 69.38% in 2024 to 72.36% in 2025 and reached 75.40% in 2026.
90.76% of lyceum graduates passed the exams on the first attempt. A year ago this figure was 89.63%. Of the 11,887 lyceum students admitted to the exams, 10,789 received passing grades.
Among college and center of excellence students, the pass percentage rose to 57.82%. Last year it was 54.39%. Among candidates who retook the exams after previous unsuccessful attempts, 21.42% passed the bachelor’s degree – last year this figure was 16.18%.
Before the appeals were considered, 13,904 people successfully passed the exams. This is 75.41% of the total number of schoolchildren. Last year at this stage the figure was 72.36%.
The average score among graduates who took the exams increased from 7.17 in 2024 to 7.38 in 2026. An average score of 8 or higher was received by 4,793 people or 26% of the total number of candidates. In 2025, there were 4,003 such graduates (22.27%). 1,558 people received an average score of 9 or higher compared to 1,160 a year earlier.
The ministry also said that during the current examination session, no candidate was removed from the exams for cheating or cheating.
Mathematics exam
Despite complaints from some graduates after the math exam, results in the subject have improved. The pass rate increased from 66% to 69%, and the average score increased from 5.26 to 5.36. Also, tasks No. 5 and No. 10, which were considered the most difficult, were completed by more participants this year than last year.
Where to view work and submit an appeal
Graduates can view their work and grades on the platform bac.gov.md.
Appeals are accepted on June 25 and 26 from 09:00 to 18:00 at the examination centers. The commissions will consider them from June 27 to July 2, and the final results of the main session will be announced on July 3.
When will the additional session take place?
The additional undergraduate session will be held from July 13 to July 20, 2026.
Those wishing to participate in the additional session will be able to submit a written application on July 3 and 4 at the same examination centers where they took the exams during the main session.
