If you need a financial loan, it is better to turn to official institutions and avoid these types of malicious applications. Therefore, the Government of Mexico has issued a series of protection recommendations.

According to the Cyber Police of the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) of Mexico City, the debt montage apps They are promoted on websites, social networks and other powerful media, such as video games, with the intention of catching more victims.
However, they are highly dangerous; Once you install them, they request access to certain data and can even access your contacts’ data under the pretext of “validating the loan.”
Likewise, they ask for permission to enter other confidential applications such as the contact book, gallery, messages, among others, to later extort money.
Another danger is that they usurp the identity of legitimate financial institutions to gain the trust of users.
Finally, although some of these apps do make the loan, they do not always respect the guidelines they promised regarding payment terms and interest.

Given the risks that debt montage applications imply, the Government of Mexicothrough the Cyber Police of the National Guard, issues the following protection recommendations:
- Avoid loan apps that promise easy and immediate money.
- Verify that the financial institution to which the app supposedly belongs is regulated by the Financial Services Providers Registration System (SIPRES) of the National Commission for the Protection and Defense of Users of Financial Services. This through the link https://webapps.condusef.gob.mx/SIPRES/jsp/pub/index.jsp.
- Confirm the reputation of the app through reliable information sites and reviews shared by other users.
- Do not grant unnecessary permissions such as contacts, photos and passwords.
- Be wary of apps that promise quick money, without checking your credit history and without complex procedures.
- Activate an antivirus on your cell phone.
If you are a victim of one of these appsuninstall it and, in case of extortion, do not make any payment. Immediately file your complaint with the Cyber Police at 088.
Finally, notify your contacts so that they are aware of your situation and do not answer calls from unknown numbers. This also prevents them from being victims.
