“A monthly special state benefit from the republican budget is paid to all categories of veterans, regardless of receipt of other social benefits, in the following amounts:
– WWII veterans – 16 MCI (in 2026 – 69,200 tenge – 148.52 US dollars);
– veterans equal in benefits to WWII veterans, of which:
– persons equal in benefits to persons with disabilities due to injury, concussion, injury or illness received during the Second World War – 7.55 MCI (in 2026 – 32,654 tenge – 70.08 US dollar);
– persons equal in benefits to participants of the Second World War – 6.19 MCI (in 2026 – 26,772 tenge – 57.46 US dollars);
— veterans of combat operations on the territory of other states, of which:
– participants in combat operations in Afghanistan – 6.19 MCI (in 2026 – 26,772 tenge – 57.46 US dollars);
– military personnel who performed tasks to strengthen the security of the CIS border in the Tajik-Afghan sector, who took part in the international peacekeeping operation in Iraq, in the settlement of the interethnic conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh – 4.8 MCI (in 2026 – 20,760 tenge – 44.56 US dollars);
– home front workers during the Second World War – 2.13 MCI (in 2026 – 9,212 tenge – 19.77 US dollars),” says the Ministry’s website.
Kyrgyzstan
In this country today there are 24 veterans of the Great Patriotic War, including blockade survivors and concentration camp prisoners, Akipress reports with reference to the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration.
Of this number, 8 veterans are participants in the war. Of these, by region live:
Bishkek – 4 people; Zhaiyl district of Chui region – 2 people; At-Bashi district of Naryn region – 1 person;
Bazar-Korgon district of Jalal-Abad region – 1 person.

“There are also 6 minor prisoners of concentration camps living in Kyrgyzstan: 4 in the city of Bishkek, 1 each in the Zhaiyl district and the city of Jalal-Abad. In addition, there are 10 Leningrad siege survivors: 8 in Bishkek, 1 each in the Sokuluk district and in the city of Balykchy,” writes Akipress.
Regarding payments, according to the decision of President Sadyr Japarov, each WWII veteran will be provided with one-time financial assistance in the amount of 200,000 soms (2,287.02 US dollars). This is reported on official website of the President of Kyrgyzstan.
Thus, the Presidential Fund is instructed to allocate 4,848,000 soms (55,437.39 US dollars), taking into account postal expenses, to the Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic to pay one-time financial assistance in the amount of 200,000 soms to the following categories of WWII veterans:
– participants of the Great Patriotic War;
– persons from among the minor prisoners of concentration camps, ghettos and other places of forced detention created by the Nazis and their allies during the Second World War;
– persons who worked at enterprises, institutions and organizations of the city of Leningrad during the siege from September 8, 1941 to January 27, 1944, awarded the medal “For the Defense of Leningrad”, and persons awarded the badge “Resident of besieged Leningrad”.
Uzbekistan
There is no recent data yet on the number of remaining WWII veterans. Last year, 82 participants of World War II and persons equivalent to them lived in Uzbekistan, Gazeta.uz reported.
However, it is already known that on the occasion of the Day of Remembrance and Honor, each participant and disabled person of the Second World War will receive a one-time payment in the amount of 30 million soums (about $2.5 thousand). This was announced President of the Republic Shavkat Mirziyoyev at a meeting to prepare for the May 9 holiday.

“In addition, on this day it is planned to provide special attention and honor to war participants, labor veterans, the older generation and mentors, to improve the housing of lonely and low-income veterans, and to hold various commemorative and celebratory events. The memory of the faithful sons of the Motherland who died in the line of duty during the years of independence will also be immortalized. Their families will be provided with material and moral support,” says the website of the President of Uzbekistan.
