Filming in a thousand-year-old building can not only help the entire production team get in the mood, but also experience strange things like doors opening and closing on their own, as well as hearing strange noises.
That was the experience in “The eyes of the devil“, co-starring Tatiana del Real (Gloria), filmed last November in a place that was convent and psychiatric hospitalin Burgos, Spain.
Paco Arasanz, who in 2025 jumped into the horror media spotlight with Obaifo Project, now ventured into a story of exorcisms, in which Pao Soppe and the Mexican Frank Rodríguez also star.
“The eyes of the devil” is a story about a influencer who is possessed (Tatiana) and everything is captured by her partner and a priest who is also a figure on the internet.
“It was filmed in this haunted residence and we have shots in which doors open and close by themselves; when people see them they will think that it was us with three people doing them, but it was not like that. Nothing ever appeared to us, or at least we did not realize it, we will review the material well, but there were also a lot of noises and it was somewhat disturbing,” Arasanz narrates.
During filming, Paco says, plants, wheelchairs and even false teeth were found on top of a bed.
“It was as if everyone should have left quickly. The Burgos government maintains it, but it is as if people had just left, so there were elements that could be taken advantage of,” he adds.
The film was filmed with two iPhone 17 pros and involves Luis Felipe Tovar.
