Dachshund Dublin became an internet sensation due to his wild reaction to the song “Happy Birthday”.
While many owners are happy to throw celebrations for their pets, Dublin seems to prefer to keep his special day quiet, as captured in a video posted on TikTok
In a video posted by his owner on the @dublinthedoxie profile, Dublin sits calmly on her lap and looks at her. The idyll is interrupted as soon as she sings the first verse of the song “Happy Birthday” — the dog immediately reacts with a worried tilt of his head.
The owner tries again, but the reaction remains the same. As she begins to sing the whole song, Dublin suddenly jumps out of her lap and starts barking loudly in protest.
Despite his obvious displeasure, the owner continues to sing until the end, while the dog barks persistently throughout the greeting, as if trying to “overtone” the birthday song.
In the end, he even retreats to the corner of the room to get away from the unpleasant situation.
