The former PRI candidate for governor of Veracruz, Hector Yunes Landa He renounced his partisan militancy after 45 years of belonging to the tricolor.
In a message on his social networks, the former federal and local deputy and former senator accused the national leader of the PRI, Alejandro Moreno, of having kidnapped the party and having forced distinguished militants to leave.
My resignation is due to the fact that the party today is kidnapped by an unpresentable character who intends to continue deciding the future of the PRI for decades. Alejandro Moreno has not only fractured the party but has alienated its most distinguished militants, reducing the PRI to a minority with no project or future,” accused the current local deputy.
The former PRI state leader explained that his resignation “from what was for decades the best party in Mexico” is irrevocable.
“Today, due to the caciquil leadership of the worst president in his history, he finds himself lost in a uncertain route which sadly could lead to its extinction,” he said.
He explained that if he resigned he presented it yesterday, Saturday May 1st, but he deliberately decided to make the announcement until today in order not to distract the attention that the tribute held to the memory of two very dear people deserved: Fidel Herrera Beltran and Rosita Borunda.
“My resignation is due to the fact that Alejandro Morenothe Party, instead of a leader, has an owner. In politics, as in any other human activity, the inability to keep your promise makes you worthless. That is the case of someone who already wrote in his name to the Institutional Revolutionary Party,” he said.
