The Farjan Dubai Foundation launched a new song for children, entitled “Hawi Dubai”, through its digital platforms and its official YouTube channel, to celebrate the “Hawai Dubai” project, which aims to revive the spirit of the traditional Emirati freej in a modern way that enhances community cohesion and brings together community members in vibrant public spaces.
The song highlights “Hawi Nad Al Sheba”, the first phase of the “Hawi Dubai” project, which was inaugurated by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai, to become a community destination that brings together the people of the region in various events, activities and social events, and enhances communication between members of society of all age groups.
The song was released in a festive atmosphere in Hawi Nad Al Sheba, where ice cream was distributed to children, while adult visitors enjoyed Emirati coffee in Al-Dukkan and Al-Yalasa, in a family atmosphere that reflected the spirit of familiarity and communication that the project seeks to establish among members of society.
Director of the Furjan Dubai Foundation, Alia Al Shamlan, said that the launch of the song comes within the framework of ongoing efforts to enhance national identity and societal values among children and families, noting that the project has succeeded during the past six months in consolidating its position as a community destination that brings together families and provides them with a space for communication and interaction.
She added: “The Furjan Dubai Foundation works to activate Dubai’s neighborhood spaces by providing various community programs and events that target different age groups, and contribute to bringing together neighbors and families in an environment that enhances communication and rapprochement between community members. Community cohesion is one of the most prominent values that Emirati families were raised on, and it is important that we continue to consolidate these values in the hearts of new generations through initiatives and activities that reflect the spirit of authentic Emirati free food.”
She stressed that the project aims to provide public spaces that meet the needs of families and host their gatherings, celebrations and various events. She continued: “We want Dubai District to be a place that brings together adults, children and neighbors in a comfortable atmosphere that enhances human communication and supports the social relations that characterize Dubai society.”
