The Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch chaired, Tuesday April 28, 2026 in Rabat, a meeting of the Ministerial commission responsible for monitoring the impact of geopolitical tensions in the Middle East on the national economy, which was an opportunity to note the availability of energy stocks and to emphasize the supply under normal conditions of the national market in agricultural products and in basic products.
At the start of this meeting, the various departments concerned presented presentations on the scope of the impact of the international situation on the various activities, while taking stock of the Kingdom’s foreign currency reserves, which cover a period of approximately 6 months.
It was decided during this meeting to continue the direct support and exceptional dedicated to professionals in the professional transport of goods and people sectorin order to guarantee normal and regular supply to the markets and to ensure the continuity of public transport services at the same prices and without any increase for citizens.
It was also decided to continue the butane gas subsidy and of electricity intended for domestic consumption in order to maintain the current pricing unchanged.
It was also decided to emphasize the mastery and monitoring of the sectors of distribution of agricultural products in the national market, in order to ensure that these products reach the citizen at reasonable prices.
