On July 22, 2025, Ergys Agasi would enter the Special Prosecutor’s Office (SPAK) for the first time to be questioned. Only a month earlier, by court decision, his business premises and his apartment had been searched.
Never before had his name been linked to any illegal activity, although political accusations often linked him to criminal gangs. Ergys Agasi, today only 39 years old, the son of an old socialist like Bardhyl Agasi, would enter public life in the fall of 2013. When he was 26 years old, with the then proposal of Ilir Meta’s Socialist Movement for Integration, he would be appointed head of the State Inspectorate of Environment and Forests.
He would hold this post until 2017, when the LSI-PS governing coalition broke up, with Agas resigning while thanking the then Minister of Environment, Lefter Koka, as a visionary.
Then Ergys Agasi would seriously enter the business world. Earlier, since 2011, he was co-founder with some Greek citizens of an import-export company called “Agasi Markoudis Group”, while in 2016 he created “EA LOGISTICS”, which only a year later became “EA TOBACCO”, a company for the trade of cigarettes. It would be precisely this business that would put Ergys Agasin on SPAK’s radar for the first time, when he bought “Albanian Tabak Fabrika e Cigareve”, which was accused of tobacco smuggling.
Through “EA TOBACCO” in 2020, Ergys Agasi would buy 100% of the shares of “SPECIAL TOBACCO”, which he changed the name to “EA LOGISTICS”, a business with the object “Service activities, sales, purchase of cigarettes and wholesale and retail tobacco products”.
But rich Ergys Agasin and subject of the Special Prosecutor’s Office in Tirana would make other businesses and new political connections. In 2023 he would enter the field of information technology. On March 15, 2023, Agasi creates as a sole partner the company EA Solution LLC (the name following the tradition of his initials in every company), with the main object “Development, implementation and maintenance of systems and programs in the field of information technology”.
And precisely with this company SPAK says in the file that Ergys Agasi received, through a series of transactions between 2023 and 2025, over 9 million euros, in the form of a bribe for his influence on the pre-determination of ANKSI tenders.
According to the Court’s decision on the seizure of his properties and assets, through his company “EA Solution”, Agasi “has benefited from the economic operators “Soft & Solution” sh.pk, owned by Ermal Beqiraj, “Fastech” sh.pk of Andis Papa and “First” sh.pk of Gëzim Hoxha.
The payments were formally made for various services, but as it turns out from the investigations, they were actually a reward given for winning the tenders of AKSHI, thanks to the close ties that Agasi had, according to SPAK, with the director of this institution, Mirlinda Karçanaj, who resigned after her admission as a defendant. The investigation documented that EA Solution did not possess any technological capacity or human resources to fulfill the commitments it formally received through contracts.
In addition to direct payments, Agasi also received other bonuses according to SPAK, such as expensive wines, which went for over 900 thousand euros.
On December 16, 2025, SPAK would announce Ergys Agas as a wanted man after he had earlier received a “prison arrest” decision from GJKKO. He was accused of illegal competition through violence and illegal deprivation of liberty for the hostage-taking of Gerond Meçe, a charge that fell after the trial of the security measure where it turned out to be a slander according to his lawyer Maks Haxhia, but remained a violation of the equality of participants in tenders carried out as a criminal group, money laundering, etc.
4 months later SPAK would also add the charge of passive corruption. Yes, in April 2026 GJKKO decided to seize about 30 assets of Argys Agasi worth several million euros, among which apartments, villas and plots of land, in well-known areas in Tirana and Durrës, several bank accounts and the company EA Solution.
Agasi, already in handcuffs, also appears to be the owner of 30% of the shares of the football team Dinamo City, partner with Adrian Bardhin and FORTIS BETON CO of Orest Sota, arrested for drug trafficking and money laundering.
Apart from Sota, Agasi is mentioned as a person with close ties to various criminal groups in the country, often accused of being the coordinator of crime in the country.
