The elections for the DP chairman and the most recent disqualification of the candidates, leaving only its current leader Sali Berisha in the running, have brought reactions from the political factor and not only.
While commenting on the current political situation and developments within the opposition, journalist Ardit Rada pointed out that the DP is closing down even more, not allowing the race.
Asked by the studio about the elections in the Democratic Party, he said that the departure of Mereme Sela and others was expected. According to Rada, the reason is related to the result, but also the image that Sali Berishë needs as irreplaceable in the DP.
“I told you yesterday when we were communicating that we wouldn’t even find Mereme on the ballot. It’s very simple: Sali Berisha has the most disastrous result in last year’s elections and his first as president of the DP, after Basha. In these moments that Berisha has decided to use the DP as a shield, he must also justify his position,” he said on the “Last Hour” show.
And further analyzed the results in DP.
“Salianji, Balliu, Meremja and anyone else were expected not to be on the ballot. First, to tell those who believe that no one meets Berisha’s criteria. And secondly, Berisha will not share the result with anyone, because it factors them. So if Salianji received 20%, Kokalari received 10% and Meremja and the others received 10%… In this form, without a candidate, Berisha takes them 99% even have it as official evidence,” Rada said.
He added with irony that “Berisha, who once accused Basha as Lul Brava, today can be described as Sali Shuli” for the closure he has done to the PD.
