This is Nikoll Radaçi, the driver of the “Benz” type vehicle that killed two children and seriously injured another this Sunday afternoon in the area of the former Këneta in Durrës.
The 57-year-old turned out to be drunk. After being stopped by the police, he was given an alcohol test, which was positive. According to information, he is known as a problematic person in the area.
The serious event occurred around 2:20 p.m., while the children were playing with a ball. Radac was driving at high speed where he hit the minors, two of whom he dragged forward.
Two died on the spot, while the other is in serious condition at the Trauma hospital.
POLICE NOTICE:
Around 14:20, in neighborhood no. 15, in Durrës, a vehicle driven by a citizen of NR, about 57 years old, had an accident with three minor children, aged about 10 years.
As a result of the accident, two of the minors lost their lives, while the other minor is in a serious condition and is being transported for more specialized help in Tirana.
The driver of the vehicle was escorted to the police station for further action.
The investigative team is at the scene and is working to fully clarify the circumstances of the accident.
