Acknowledgement : The Jadara Foundation’s “Succeed with Jadara” program is now recognized by UNESCO as an international good practice.
The Jadara Foundation recently announced the recognition of its strategic hub “Succeed with Jadara” by UNESCO as an international good practice. Indeed, this program is now listed on the SDG 4 Knowledge Hub, namely a United Nations platform dedicated to promoting high-impact initiatives contributing to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4), aimed at guaranteeing inclusive, equitable and quality education for all.
According to a press release from the Foundation, this distinction recognizes an integrated Moroccan model which has proven itself over the years. Founded on the principles of equity, sustainability and measurable impact, this program is today identified as an inspiring and internationally replicable approach, in a global context marked by persistent challenges linked to equitable access to higher education. Since its creation in 2002, the Jadara Foundation has worked to promote equal opportunities by providing comprehensive support for young people from backgrounds with limited opportunities. Thus, the “Succeed with Jadara” program constitutes one of the major pillars of its action.
It targets, according to the same source, a decisive stage in the beneficiaries’ journey, namely access to higher education and the construction of a structured life project, based on ambition and autonomy.
As explained in the same press release, this program is based on a long-term support system which is not limited to financial support, but also includes local psychosocial monitoring, mentoring and individualized coaching, as well as the development of academic, linguistic and professional skills. It also promotes openness to the academic and professional world through the networking of beneficiaries with key players, thus helping to remove structural obstacles to access to higher education and to strengthen the prospects for sustainable professional integration. Note that since its launch, the Jadara Foundation has supported more than 3,543 beneficiaries, 74% of whom are young women.
