Fayez Al-Duwairi
Jordanian military analyst Fayez Al-Duwairi announced on Sunday the end of his association with Al Jazeera. Confirming his readiness to appear on other television channels.
Al-Duwairi said in a post on Facebook: “After years of working with many Arab and international satellite channels, the last of which was 6 years exclusively for Al Jazeera. It is time to end the association with the channel.”
The retired Major General in the Jordanian Army continued: “The end of that period culminated in covering the unjust war on Gaza. I ask God that I succeeded during it in a way that satisfied my Lord, my conscience, and my professionalism.”
Before adding: “Due to the end of my association with Al Jazeera, I may return to appearing on some satellite channels, whose editorial line is consistent with my principles derived from my faith, Arabism, and patriotism, and as the health situation allows.”
Al-Duwairi’s name was linked to the phrase “Resolve, Duwairi,” uploaded by a member of the Palestinian Al-Qassam Brigades, in a video clip showing the targeting of the occupation forces in the Gaza Strip in December 2023.
The analyst responded by posting a tweet to “X”, in which he said: “I raise my head and stand tall, and it may be the most beautiful moment of my life, when I heard the resistance fighter calling my name.”
He added: “It is a moment of honor when I know that the resistance fighters are following and praising my simple effort, which is not even mentioned in front of those who took action.”
