Employees were temporarily evacuated from the National Cooperative Credit Union’s Roseau branch and head office following a fire alarm at the building on Monday morning.
A notice from the NCCU has since confirmed that this was a false alarm. Management said that during the evacuation, safety checks were conducted as a precautionary measure.
The notice also assured that no employees or members were harmed during the event.
Management also apologized for any inconvenience caused to the public and thanked the members for their cooperation during the incident.
All services have since been resumed.
