Although we are still several days away from this year’s first semi-final Eurovision in Vienna, the bets are already starting to shape the first image of the countries that stand out. The situation remains fluid, since, although all the songs have now been revealed, the image is not yet “locked”, as rehearsals begin on Saturday, which traditionally significantly affect the performances and dynamics of the entries.
According to the Eurovision Worldthe betting picture is already starting to show which countries are at the center of the race for victory. At the top remains the Finland as the big favorite with Linda Lampenius x Pete Parkkonen and the song “Liekinheitin». Followed by Denmark with Søren Torpegaard Lund and the song “Før Vi Går Hjem“, while third – so far – comes the France with Monroe and the song “Look!”.
Greece with Akyla and the “Ferto» is located in fourth place. Australia completes the top five with Delta Goodrem and the song “Eclipse».
‘Ferto’ moves into a contemporary dance-pop and techno sound, with intense rhythmic energy and electronic production that aims for an immediate, international footprint. Thematically, the song speaks to the excess of desire and the need for more, while also incorporating more personal references that give it an emotional underpinning beyond its purely danceable nature.
Akylas will compete in the 1st Semi-Final, on Tuesday, May 12punching his ticket to the grand final Saturday, May 16.
