With the aim of highlighting stories of women who have broken paradigms and are building impact from areas such as technology, science, innovation and global leadership, Alpha Sitio de Bolsa, AFP Crecer, Seguros Crecer and ALTIO, held the fourth edition of the “Women who transform” meeting.
This year with the theme “From individual leaders to architects of the future”, the event brought together women who, from different fields, are redefining leadership and paving the way for new generations.
Kathleen Martínez, a Dominican archaeologist internationally recognized for leading the Egyptian-Dominican mission in the search for Cleopatra’s tomb in Egypt, participated as the main guest, who offered the keynote talk “Thinking big: from individual leaders to architects of the future.”
“Great transformations begin when a woman decides to challenge the limits that others consider impossible. My career has taught me that thinking big is not an act of ambition, but of vision, perseverance and purpose. Today, more than ever, we need women willing to build the future through science, innovation and leadership with impact,” said Martínez.
The discussion also included the participation of panelists Isabel Torrón, Founder and CEO of Manova Aviation; Alejandra Bonnelly, elite triathlon athlete and Senior Trader at Alpha; as well as Cecilia Goico, Head of HR at Casa Brugal, and María Luisa Labernia, General Director of the Dominican Rehabilitation Association. Their stories reflect the balance between professional excellence and a mentality focused on turning dreams into achieved goals.
“The main objective of Mujeres que Transforman is to highlight the role of women as agents of social and professional transformation, promoting conversations that inspire new generations to think big, challenge paradigms and build impact from different leadership spaces,” said Santiago Camarena, executive vice president of Alpha.
While Eliza Sánchez Lomakina, general director of ALTIO, considered that women not only participate in the transformation of our organizations and communities, but also lead it every day with vision, resilience and purpose.
“At ALTIO we reaffirm our commitment to promoting environments where female talent can grow, innovate and generate the impact that our country needs to move towards a more inclusive and sustainable development,” he stated.
Ingrid García, vice president of Talent Management, Corporate Communication and Sustainability of the Crecer Financial Center, highlighted that promoting spaces like this is part of the organization’s commitment to the development of talent and the well-being of future generations.
“At AFP Crecer and Seguros Crecer we believe that behind every woman who leads, undertakes, educates, cares for or transforms her environment, there is a future that deserves to be protected. That is why we promote initiatives that strengthen their development and support their well-being, because when a woman advances, so do their families, their communities and the country,” said García.
Alpha, ALTIO, AFP Crecer and Seguros Crecer reiterated their commitment to continue amplifying stories of Dominican women who are transforming industries from innovation, science, finance, sports and technology, as well as generating more conversations about female leadership, professional growth, skills development and participation of women in decision-making spaces.
