Havana/Impulso Teatro premieres Dreama new proposal directed by Linda Soriano and inspired by The dreamby the Swedish playwright August Strindberg. The text of this version is signed by Ulises Rodríguez Febles and Soriano herself, according to the staging poster.
Strindberg’s work, premiered at the beginning of the 20th century, constitutes one of the Swedish author’s most unique experiments and a precursor of much of the later expressionist and surrealist theater. In it, conventional logic gives way to the changing structure of dreams: characters, places and times appear, disappear and transform while the gaze focuses on the contradictions, sufferings and desires of human existence. Impulso Teatro’s proposal is based on that universe to build its own version, under the title Dream.
The production is directed by Linda Soriano and is presented as a creation of Impulso Teatro, a group that brings to the stage a text prepared together with the Matanzas playwright Ulises Rodríguez Febles, author of pieces such as Carnage, Sputnik, Baseball, The woven window, sax, minefield, The concert, I am the King of Mambo, Citizenship and island creature.
After the premiere on Friday, September 25, Dream It will remain on display every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 7:30 pm. The first weekend the performances will be free; Starting with the following presentations, admission will be priced at 60 pesos.

After that time, reservations that have not been picked up will be released and remaining tickets can be purchased between 7:00 pm and 7:30 pm.
