For the Delfi portal, V. Šležas described I. Solkanas as an extremely humble person.
“That man certainly won’t even kick an ant if their paths cross. Imagine now his son is involved in such a terrible thing.
Actually, I knew my father a little. He was a very calm, quiet, hardworking and diligent person. During some crisis, I even helped him find a job in one company. That company was very happy with him. It’s just that after the good worker was no longer satisfied with the salary, he went somewhere else”, V. Šležas explained to Delfi.
According to him, the man was “not even polite, but humble”, not forgetting to thank him for the ungraded road.
The elder of his son V. Solkanas said that he did not know him, although he attended Paistris J. Zikars Gymnasium.
All three arrested in the Panevėžys court: the faces of all the people suspected of the brutal murder of the paramedic were recorded
“That Vilias was definitely not among the hooligans we were bending over”, said V. Šležas.
Three suspects
On Thursday, all three suspects in the case of the murder of paramedic M. Sadauskas began to be brought to the Panevėžys district court. Vilius Solkanas, born in 1992, was the first to be brought to court around 10 o’clock in the morning.
Before 12 o’clock, the officers also brought his father – Ilja Solkanas – to the court session. Neither the father nor the son made any comments, hiding their faces.
Finally, a little after 1:00 p.m., Justina Gaigalaitė, the ex-wife of M. Sadauskas and the mother of his two children, was also brought to the courthouse. The divorce process has continued until now, the woman still bears the surname of Sadauskienė. She didn’t say a word to the bunch of gathered journalists either.
The woman is charged with intentional homicide and unlawful imprisonment.
The court allowed V. Solkanas and J. Gaigalaitė to be detained for 2 months, although the prosecutor asked for the maximum possible term – 3 months. And I. Solkanas was released on bail of 5,000 euros.
The man was charged with illegal possession of a firearm.
The authorities had to dig up the body
The body of M. Sadauskas, who worked as a paramedic, was found on Tuesday evening, more than a day after he went to a homestead in the Panevėžys district for work, and his relatives missed him.
The body was found exactly on the territory of this homestead – it was wrapped in a trampoline and buried. Attempts were made to burn the remains of the trampoline. A weapon was also found at the scene – whether it was used to commit a terrible crime, experts should find out a little later.
On Tuesday, a car believed to belong to the murdered paramedic was discovered in the forest.
