Ecuador, second in the South American qualification for the World Cup 2026, guarantees one of the places for the eight best third-placed teams in the group stage, after Bosnia-Herzegovina, which also won four points (and worse goal difference, with 5-6 against 2-2 for the Ecuadorians).
