Food safety alert at “Conad”, as a foreign body was discovered in the “Galbanetto” sausage.
The National Food Authority (AKU) has issued an urgent warning to consumers following a notification received from the European RASFF system (Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed).
The warning received from the Italian authorities has classified the presence of a foreign body in the product SALAME GALBANETTO G230 ca as a “serious risk” for health, which has also been imported into the Albanian market.

According to the official data of the alert with reference number 12364615, the lot affected by this problem is L.264173 with an expiration date of 23/10/2026. The product was exported by the Conad company to Italy and was introduced to the local market through Conad Albania.

After Albania has been officially labeled for following this case, AKU calls on all citizens who have bought this product or have it, not to consume it and to return it to the points where they bought it.
“Conad” scandals
The supermarket chain “Conad” has faced accusations and problems related to the sale of products that may pose a risk to the health of consumers. Due to these cases, the activity of the network has been the focus of continuous controls by the National Food Authority (AKU), as well as the structures responsible for hygiene and food safety.
Despite the controls and measures required over the years, “Conad” is again at the center of another disturbing case. This time it is about the “Galbanetto” sausage, for which the AKU has raised the alarm for a serious risk to the health of consumers.
The case raises serious questions about the controls and safety of products that end up on supermarket shelves. While the contested products may be withdrawn from the market, the main concern remains consumer exposure and the consequences of their consumption.
